[Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] A heated rod 1, whose conical end 2 is grooved, is pressed superficially into the surface of thermoplastic material, such as acrylic resin. The melted resin is forced out through the unimmersed grooves to solidify into ornamental shapes, Fig. 7. Variation of the heating of the rod, of the grooving and of manipulation produces variant shapes.
