Abstract

1,123,702. Moulding pleated bellows. GEORGE ANGUS & CO. Ltd. 2 March, 1966 [5 April, 1965], No. 9125/66. Heading B5A. A polyurethane pleated bellows element is produced by spraying the resin on to a core formed by a plastic non-setting material which, after the polyurethane has set, is removed therefrom. The core is formed by applying the plastic material to a rotated length of pipe coated with release agent and the desired contour is obtained by a template or profiling roller. The plastic material core may also be coated with release agent and after setting of the polyurethane article this is drawn off the pipe together with the core which is then removed by pressing the article.
