Abstract

An age-hardened Cu-base alloy has the following composition:- Ni 0.3-2.0 per cent, P 0.43-0.4 per cent, Te 0.1-1.0 per cent, Cu, and impurities, at least 95.95 per cent and forming the balance, the Cu being at least 95 per cent. The content of P is one third to one seventh of the content of Ni. The alloy may also contain less than 0.1 per cent Pb, less than 0.25 per cent Cd, less than 0.1 per cent Al and less than 0.2 per cent Sn.
