Abstract
654,749. Automatic firearms. CESKA ZBROJOVKA, NARODNI PODNIK. Nov. 3, 1948, No. 28556. Convention date, Nov. 7, 1947. [Class 92 (ii)] An automatic firearm has a guideway 2 fixed on the stock 3 or the casing (not shown). The guideway 2 is an elongated metal strip with bent-up edges to receive a cartridge clip 1. When the magazine of the firearm is to be filled, a clip containing cartridges 6 is placed in the guideway, the magazine is removed from the firearm placed at the end 5 of the guide way and pushed forwards. Since the cartridges are prevented from rearward movement by a bridge 7, they enter the magazine 4, while the clip 1 is pushed out beneath the bridge (Fig. 3). If the capacity of the magazine is great a succession of clips may be placed in the guideway until filling is completed.
