654,504. Photographic sensitized multicolour screen. SOC. ANON. MONDIACOLOR, and CHEVALIER, G. E. Oct. 26, 1948, No. 27795. Convention date, July 6. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (ii)] A sensitized four-colour screen with contiguous equal colour areas such as squares, lozenges or triangles is made by covering a film or glass support with a gelatin-bichromate layer, exposing under a mask having equidistant openings corresponding in size and location to the areas of one of the colours, washing, de-sensitizing as with ammonium sulphocyanide solution, dyeing the exposed areas, and covering with a protective rubberbase layer ; repeating the steps for the second and third colours but with shift of the mask a distance corresponding to one opening interval ; producing the fourth colour similarly but by exposure through the first three colours without use of the mask ; and providing a silver-halide gelatin layer over the film or glass support or over the final rubber-base protective layer. The colours may be green, red, blue and yellow.
