654,249. Making razors. SUNBEAM CORPORATION. July 10, 1947, No. 18313. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1940. [Class 83 (ii)] In a method of making a supporting frame for the comb of a dry shaver a cold rolled sheet 54 about .042 ins. in thickness has apertures punched to leave side members 55 joined by crossmembers 56. Rivet bosses 58 are then stamped on each edge and form guides by which the blank is located on a die. The cross-members 56 are punched out to a width of about 0.080 inches and are then reduced in width to 0.044 inches, 0.018 inches and 0.026 inches, in successive operations of shaving from each side of the member. The frame is then bent to cylindrical form. Specification 643,722 and U.S.A. Specification 2,234,891 are referred to.
