Abstract

654,162. Printed circuits. WRIGHT & WEAIRE, Ltd., and NIBLETT, E. H. Sept. 30, 1947, No. 26387. [Class 36] [Also in Group XXII] In electrical apparatus comprising interconnected components mounted on an insulating support the conductors and some parts of components are made in one piece with connecting webs, some of which are removed after the piece has been attached to the insulating support. In an example a network of conductors for a coil unit of a radio receiver is stamped in one piece comprising switch contacts 25, Fig. 4, condenser vanes 26, contact lugs 32, attachment lugs 30 and interconnecting webs 29 (shown hatched). After attachment by rivets 31 to an insulating support 15 the webs 29 are removed by punching through holes 33, Fig. 1, in the support. The switch contacts 25 and lugs 32 may be bent at right-angles to project through slots in the support which has openings 28 to take the elements 26 of the condensers. The body of the unit may be assembled by engaging tongues 34 on the sides in grooves 35 on the support 15.
