'[Class 124] A boring head for a percussion drill has a simple chisel cutting edge and a conical wall a which has flushing grooves b the sum of whose widths c is, at the most, one third of the perimeter of the wall a. Two clearing holes h are provided opening as near the cutting edge and the circumference as possible and in front of the cutting edge in the direction of rotation. The edge is carried along; its length and the flanks at right angles to the edge are concave.
