Abstract
Stabilized solutions are prepared by dissolving thiamine mononitrate or a vitamin B complex containing thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride and niacinamide in water or aqueous chlorobutanol, and adjusting the pH of the solution to about 3.5 to 4.5 by the addition of a water-soluble non-toxic inorganic acid, e.g. hydrochloric, sulphuric or nitric acid.ALSO:Stabilized solutions for parenteral administration are prepared by dissolving thiamine mononitrate or a vitamin B complex containing thiamine mononitrate, riboflaving, pyridoxine dydrochloride and niacinamide in water or aqueous chlorobutanol, and adjusting the pH of the solution to about 3.5 to 4.5 by the addition of a water-soluble non-toxic inorganic acid, e.g. hydrochloric, sulphuric or nitric acid.
