651,212. Gyratory crushers. BJARME, J. A. Dec. 30, 1947, Nos. 34615 and 34616. Convention dates, Jan. 18, 1941 and Sept. 30, 1941. [Class 59]. A gyratory crusher having its concave crusher .member yieldingly mounted in order to avoid overloading, includes a yielding member constituted by. one or. more receptacles containing compressed air, such as hollow pneumatic rubber rings, and disposed concentrically round the crusher member in such manner as to permit movement of the concave crusher member by compression of the air content if the pressure exceeds the normal crushing pressure. The yielding means may comprise a rubber ring 7, Fig. 1, or concentric rubber rings or a plurality of balls disposed concentrically around the concave crusher member and arranged between a frame member 4 and a concave 2. Alternatively plungers 10, Fig. 2, in cylindrical bores 8 in the frame 4 arranged concentrically around the concave crusher member, may press the concave 2 downwardly. The bores 8 intercommunicate by a passage 9 having a conduit for compressed air opening thereinto.
