Abstract

651,158. Fuel iniectors. AKTIEBOLAGET ATLAS DIESEL. June 15, 1948, No. 16073 Convention date, Sept. 22, 1947. [Class 7 (iii)] In a fuel injection nozzle having an injection valve with a stem 5b attached to plunger portions 5a, 6, a non-return valve 8 is positioned adjacent the smaller diameter plunger portion 5a in the fuel supply passage 12. The injector valve housing comprises a part 1 containing the valve loading spring 7, a part 2a with bores for the portions 6, 5a, a separate nozzle tip member 2b, and a screwed cap 3 holding the parts in assembly, a pin 12<SP>1</SP> ensuring correct assembly of the parts 2a, 2b. The valve 8 has a pressure reducing part 10 and its opening is restricted by stop 11.
