[Class 99(i)] A member for coupling a trunk conduit and a branch conduit of a drainage system comprises a housing with a passage 1 coinciding with the trunk conduit and an opening 2 through the vertical side wall having a recess 3 in which the branch conduit fits, the opening 2 having no parts projecting from the side wall around it and being at a higher level than the passage 1 so that the flow through the branch conduit is not impeded by the flow in the trunk conduit. An opening for a second branch may be formed in the opposite side of the housing, and the openings may be inclined.
