Abstract

1145316 Precast head wall J K HOARE 29 Feb 1968 [17 April 1967] 17562/67 Headings E1C and C48 A head wall assembly comprises a precast head wall 1 having a drain pipe aperture 4 and a precast base-plate 2. The base-plate 2 has an extension 6 extending back from the head wall 1 widening out in a zone 9 remote from the head wall. The head wall 1 has a tongue (10), Fig. 4 (not shown), which engages in aperture (8) in the base-plate. A groove 12 in the underside of the base-plate prevents drops of water running along to the bank.
