Abstract
649,283. Switches held set and freed mechanically. BOER, J. J. DE. March 16, 1948, No. 7916. [Class 38(v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In an electrically driven gramophone, a motor switch, operated by the movement of the pick-up arm 1, has a toggle-switch lever 12 pivoted about a fixed point 13 and connected to a torsional biassing spring 19 anchored to a bracket 16 at a point such that when the switch is closed the switch lever 12 is at or near its position of unstable equilibrium, so that very little pressure by an actuating member 11 on the pick-up arm shaft 8 is required to trip it.
