649,236. Toothed gearing. NORTHERN PATENTS DEVELOPMENTS, Ltd., and BARTLETT, B. G. W. Nov. 26, 1948, No. 30772. [Class 80(i)] In gearing in which the drive is transmitted between an externally toothed gear 14 and an internally tooted annular floating gear 11, the central plane of the internal teeth 13 of the gear 11 is arranged separate and parallel to the central plane of external teeth 12 adapted to be engaged by a drive transmitting member such as a chain. A single concentric rolling surface is provided by a ring 18 on the annular gear 11, for cooperating with a concentric surface 17 on the gear 14, on the same side of the gear as the external teeth 12. The concentric surface 17 of the gear 14 may be provided by a locking ring 16 for securing the gear to a hub 15.
