[Class 81(ii)] An artificial anus comprising a rigid casing 1 having a primary aperture 2 to receive the end of the intestine, a secondary aperture 3 for the escape of intestinal gases and a gas deodorizing chamber 4 connected to the secondary aperture is characterized in that it comprises further a flexible and waterproof bag 5 accommodated in the casing and having an inlet 6 surrounding the aperture 2, the casing 1 being made of separable parts to permit the insertion and withdrawal of the bag.
