Abstract

648,008. Vehicle endless tracks. WARREN, S. F. (Uranus Traktoren Akt.-Ges.). June 17, 1947, No. 15928. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 19, 1947.] [Class 79 (i)] In a vehicle endless track having track elements connected by link pins and guided on guide rails by means of rollers, each track element has connected to it a tread-carrying shoe plate equipped with track-protecting lateral flanges, which plate is widened at one end to accommodate the inwardly curved other end of the adjacent shoe plate, the link pins ending short of the flanges and each shoe plate being screwed to its track element. As shown inner and outer track elements 1, 2 are interconnected by pins 6 which each carry rollers 7 engaging the upper sides of rails 14 mounted on webs 17. The under sides of the rails 14 are engaged by rollers 11 carried by the outer track elements 2. Secured to each track element by screws 13 is the shoe plate 3 carrying the tread 4 and provided with the flanges 20, one end of each plate 3 being widened at 21. The flanges 20 are apertured at 3<SP>11</SP> to facilitate lubrication of the pins 6 and are provided with lateral guide means 31 adapted to be engaged by grippers 5 which are secured in position by bars 5<SP>1</SP>.
