Abstract

Large conduits are built up from arcuate rectangular sections moulded in reinforced concrete, (see Group V). Each section has a recess in its inner face near each corner and holes extending from the recesses to adjacent edges of the section for bolts securing the sections together axially and circumferentially. The recesses may be filled with mortar or concrete after the sections have been assembled.
