Abstract
<PICT:0647058/IV (a)/1> A valve for a liquefied carbon dioxide &c. bottle has a valve closure member 27 formed of synthetic polymers of the superpolyamide type such, e.g., as that produced from hexamethylene diamine and a dicarboxylic acid and known as nylon. Such material is stated to be resilient and not permanently deformable at temperatures between -65 DEG and 160 DEG F. and pressures up to 3500 p.s.i., and substantially impermeable. A gasket on the valve body may be made of similar material. Specifications 461,236 and 461,237, [both in Group IV], are referred to.
