Abstract
617,843. Bottle stoppers. STEVENS; A. H. (Murdock, J. M.). Oct. 11, 1946, No. 30425. [Class 125 (iii)] A bottle stopper comprises a cap 11, means secured thereto, including a pair of clasps 13, for engagement under a bead on the bottle neck, an expansible member 16 secured to the cap, a plunger 8 for movement to a position to contract the member 16, to facilitate insertion within the bottle mouth, and a pair of finger pieces 14 by which the stopper clasps may be spread while the thumb of the user applies pressure to the plunger 8. The skirt of the cap 11, which is gapped to accommodate the clasps 13, is turned under a washer 18 to hold a flange 17 on the member 16 to the cap.
