[Class 20(iii)] A lattice rolling shutter comprises metal frame-like slats consisting of horizontal parallel bars A, B which are joined by spacers C, the bars A, B having curled edges a, b which enable adjacent bars to be connected hingedly without using hinge pins. The spacers C have faces which are of equal width to the combined width of the bars A, B, and are grooved at e to simulate the joint e<SP>2</SP> between the bars A, B. In a modification in which the joint e<SP>2</SP> is near the lower edge of the lower bar B, the face of the upper bar A is provided with a dummy groove in symmetry with the actual joint, and, in this case, the spacers C are provided with two dummy grooves. The spacers C may be inclined to the bars A, B, or may be curved. A shutter may incorporate both frame-like slats and solid sheet metal slats.
