Abstract
645,711. Transformers. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Dec. 15, 1947, No. 33045. Drawings to Specification. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In a transportable electric transformer provided with wheels to engage the rails of a track the wheels on both sides of the transformer are independently adjustable laterally with respect thereto. Thus the transformer may be used on tracks of differing gauges or may be moved laterally with respect to the wheels to negotiate sharp corners. Bearings for the wheel axles may be provided at different heights in order that the level of the transformer above the track may be varied.
