[Class 125(iii)] In a closure for jars and like containers, a projecting portion of a resilient ring 6, which, in its uncompressed state, partially fills a groove 3, 4, 5 adjacent the neck of the container, is compressed by a cap 7 to deform the ring into the space as shown in Fig. 3.
