644,519. Trueing grinding wheels. PORTER. C. B. A., and TOOLMASTERS, Ltd. May 3, 1948. No. 12147. [Class 60] The template-follower member 23 in the apparatus of Specification 573,877 is provided with a guard constituted by two wings 36, 37 mounted on the follower by means enabling them to be bodily displaced towards and away from each other in a direction perpendicular to both the rocking axis of the follower and a line bisecting the angle at the apex of the wings The follower is detachably held in the end of a shaft 10 by a draw bolt 25. The shaft 10 carries a knob 14 and a pulley 20 to which is pinned a steel band 18 to transmit the rocking motion to the dressing tool holder (not shown). The wings 36, 37 are attached to blocks 30, 31 which are a sliding fit in a guide way 29. A nut 34 and a screw 35 serve to clamp the blocks after the wings have been set with their working edges 36<SP>1</SP>, 37<SP>1</SP> tangential to the follower tip.
