644,336. Propeller blades. HARTZELL INDUSTRIES, Inc. Jan. 9, 1948, No. 786. [Class 114] The blade 13 is secured to the boss 12 by a clamping sleeve 20, which is split circumferentially and has annular projections 21, 22 engaging recesses in the blade. The stresses due to centrifugal force are transferred to the inner material of the blade by a wedgesectioned ring 28 and inclined screws 30. The centrifugal force on the blade is transmitted to the hub by the thrust bearing 24 and the ring 25.
