Abstract

643,708. Vegetable &c. slicing knives. PENNY, JOHNSON, Ltd., and COATS, E. Y. Sept. 20, 1948, No. 24594. [Class 5(i)] In potato and like slicing machines, horizontal and vertical knives are slotted for interengagement. The top horizontal knife is in two parts separately clamped to flanges on the frame, the front portion c carrying the cutting edge and the rear portion d being slotted. The adjacent edges of the two parts are bevelled to engage the dove-tailed top of vertical knives e. Other horizontal knives f, g, h are slotted to engage the front and rear slotted edges of the vertical knives.
