Abstract

642,124. Boots &c. PLASTIFLEX PRODUCTS, Ltd., and SPENCER, T. Sept. 17, 1947, No. 15884. Addition to 582,431. [Class 17 (ii)] The shoe of the parent Specification is modified in that the sole is made of mixing fibres or granules with a plastic in solid solution, paste, dispersion or liquid form, and sufficiently polymerized to maintain its shape when handled, and formed into a sole blank in shapes or formers or made into sheets and cut out. The blank is then given a coating or covering of the same or a compatible plastic and moulded to the upper. The fibres may be of wool, cotton, fur, or hair and the granules of cork, wood or coke. The uppers may be moulded from the same mixture and the moulding operation used to attach the sole blank.
