Abstract

641,806. Revolving - cylinder p u m p s. DOWTY EQUIPMENT, Ltd. July 9, 1947, No. 18183. [Class 102(i)] In a revolving radial-cylinder pump, the cylinder block 16 rotates in a central valve 13 and the pistons 19 are actuated by the engagement of slippers 21 with an eccentric track 22. The pistons 19 are slotted and pins 29, secured to the slippers, pass through the slots and engage channels in balls 36 that engage sockets in the pistons. The pins and sockets are lubricated by a passage 38 that is either connected to the working face of the piston, or aligns, during the stroke, with a passage 39 in the cylinder wall connected to a groove 40 in the valve 13.
