Abstract

Coatings comprising a mixture of short fibre asbestos, e.g chrysotile and orthophosphoric acid are integrated with the aid of heat and pressure with ferrous members, e.g. iron arc shoot members of circuit-breakers. A preferred mixture comprises 50 parts by weight of 85 per cent orthophosphoric acid and 100 parts of chrysotile asbestos.
