[Class 44] [Also in Group XVII] A lock 4 of the ordinary pin tumbler cylinder type, fitted to a filler cap for a petrol tank &c. (see Group XVII), has a plurality of arms 9 pivotally mounted on a disc 7 secured to the inner end of the roll back 5 of the lock, the outer ends of the arms being slotted and slidably arranged on studs 11 secured to the inner face of the cap, so that when the roll back is rotated by the key 17 the arms are moved outwardly and the ends thereof engage under a flange 15 formed on the end of a filler tube or on a port 13 secured thereto. The underface of the flange 15 may be wedge-shaped to draw the cap downwards on locking. The arms 9 have extensions 9<1> which engage the block 6 to limit the outward movement of the arms.
