639,781. Valves. K.A.C., Ltd. April 25, 1947, No. 11171. [Class 135] [Also in Group XXVIII] A tank drainage valve adapted to be opened by the replacement of a sealing cap by a drainage tube, comprises a body 1, Fig. 1, disposed in the bottom of the tank 2 and housing a valve member 7 guided in a cover 6 and urged by a spring 11 towards a seat 8. Diametrically opposed ports 21 in the body reaching to the tank bottom permit the complete drainage of liquid and sludge from the tank on removal of a sealing cap 12 and its replacement by a drainage tube 16, Fig. 3, adapted to unseat the valve 7.
