Abstract
638,199. Leather-rolling machines. BATA, NARODNI PODNIK. Dec. 23, 1948, No. 33131. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1947. [Class 76] In a bridge leather-rolling machine having a pressure-exerting device suspended from an upper horizontal beam acting by a working roll reciprocating together with the pressureexerting device along a rolling plate carried by a lower horizontal beam, the horizontal beams are braced at their ends in the supporting posts of the machine and are rigidly connected by rod-like bolts at such a distance from the point of bracing as not to limit the largest possible stroke of the working roll. The horizontal beams 3, 3a, 5, 5a are braced in end-supporting posts 6, 7 and corresponding pairs of beams 3, 5 and 3a, 5a are rigidly connected by bolts 8, 9 and 8a, 9a, having threadable bolts 12 engaging the flanges of the beams. The bolts are locked by nuts 14 pierced with cotter-pins and may be welded to the beams.
