Class 117 [Also in Group XXX] An oscillatory screening - machine comprises a counterframe 1 resiliently supported on the ground by rubber blocks 15, a trough 25 with a sieve base supported on the counterframe by rubber blocks 8, 10 which are subjected to shear stresses when the counterframe and trough are oscillated in opposite directions by a crank or eccentric drive. The counterframe comprises lateral members 30, 31 of sheet metal plates and section bars connected by transverse beams 16, and the trough is disposed deeply between the lateral members within which the shear blocks 8, 10 and their supports are located. T-shaped steel sections are attached to the walls of the trough and their webs 9 are inclined in the direction of oscillation; two rubber blocks 8, 10 each covered on both sides by metal plates 20, 21, are attached to each web, Fig. 4. Each rubber block assembly is arranged within a cutout in the upper part of the counterframe, and the lower block 10 of each assembly is attached to a U-shaped section 19 inserted between the walls 12, 13 of the counterframe and secured thereto by screws. A hood 7 is attached to each upper block 8 and to the counterframe by screws 26, 27. Each pair of blocks may be subjected to compression by bolts 37 which interconnect the hood and section 19. The counterframe may be made heavier by filling its hollow walls with concrete &c. A crank or eccentric drive 3 is mounted on a transverse bar 2 of the counterframe, Fig. 1, and the connecting rod 4 connects with the trough through rubber pressure blocks 5.
