Abstract
637,782. Fusible cut-outs. PARMITER, HOPE, & SUGDEN, Ltd. Oct. 15, 1945, No. 26861. [Class 38 (i)] A cartridge fuse carrier has two T-section recesses 17 cut into its underside into which are sprung the lugs 21 formed on the ends of the limbs of two U- shaped resilient unitary contacts each having semicircular parts 20 joined by a resilient blade part 19, bowed outwards, which enters the socket'14 when the fuse carrier is inserted into the fusebase 10. The cartridge will slide within the semicircular parts 20 when the fuse carrier is removed from the base, but on insertion the blades are compressed, clamping the semicircular parts firmly around the cartridge endcaps. The semicircular parts may be secured to the fuse carrier by projections 23 which engage depressions 24 in the carrier. A slotted insulating shield 27 protects the sockets 14.
