[Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i)] In the side wall of a vehicle body comprising a skeleton framework of horizontal chords 52, 53, 54, 55 and vertical posts 31, 31<SP>1</SP>, inner panelling 70 integrally secured to the skeleton and bracing it, and outer panelling 82, which may be removably secured, the inner panelling 70 is longitudinally corrugated. In the vehicle body shown the roof A, side walls B, underframe E and end walls are separately assembled and may include accessories such as wiring, piping, &c. as in Specification 637,335. The upper chord 52 of the side wall comprises a continuous moulding 60 and a Z-section member 56 extending between the posts. The chord 53 above the windows comprises continuous mouldings 64, 68 and members 65, 66 which extend between the posts. The chord 54 below the windows is similar to that above, and the lowest chord 55 comprises a continuous moulding 74, a continuous length of corrugated panelling 75 and a U-section member 75 extending between adjacent posts. The box section chord is completed by the deep vertical web 106 of the side rail 78 of the underframe and a U-section member 77 welded in position only after the wall and underframe have been secured together. The posts 31 (Fig. 10) are of U-section and may have a U-section reinforcing member 44. The inner corrugated panelling, rigidly secured to the skeleton, is continuous above and below the windows at 70 and extends between the window spaces at 81. The outer fluted panelling 82 is removably secured by screws 83 hidden by overlying strips 84. An auxiliary member 124, Fig. 2, is temporarily inserted between the lower ends of the posts 38, 39 flanking the door opening to prevent distortion of the frame during manufacture and assembly.
