635,068. Electron image tubes. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ. Jan. 13, 1947, No. 1129. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1946. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XL (b)] A picture signal generating tube of the type in which an electron image of an optical image is focused on a storage electrode P (e.g. image orthicon type) and in which the scanning cathode-ray beam F (of low velocity electrons) is modulated at a high-frequency (e.g. a carrier frequency for use in a television transmitter) has a fine wire mesh G positioned closely adjacent to the electrode P for the purpose of developing a rigid output from the tube. Specification 611,222 is referred to.
