Abstract

634,719. Moulding base spacers for concrete reinforcement &c. HARROULD, A. F. H. Jan. 1, 1948, No. 38029/46. [Class 87 (ii)] A machine, more particularly for making bar spacers for reinforcement in concrete, comprises a die 9 which is charged with plastic material by a pivoted charging box 10 from a hopper, a plunger 14 for pressing the material and an ejector 12. The plunger 14 is operated by means of a toggle 6, 7, rod 5, weighted arm 3 and a hand lever 2 and when withdrawn from the die operates the ejector 12 by means of cross-heads 15, 18 interconnected by rods. The bar spacers are removed from the ejector by a pivoted finger.
