In the method of moulding powdered material described in the parent Specification, the mould is vibrated by either a magneto-strictive transducer 5 around with the polyvinyl chloride mould 4 is cast or a piezoelectric crystal 6 contained in a recess in the top of the plunger 2<SP>1</SP>. Insulated ducts 7, 10 are provided in the plungers.
