Abstract

838,451. Moulding magnets. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. March 13, 1957 [March 23, 1956], No. 8290/57. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXXV] Finely divided magnetic material 5 is compressed by rams 3, 4 to form a magnet in a mould having a part 2 of non-magnetic material and parts 1 of magnetic material which form pole pieces for producing a desired magnetic flux in the material being pressed. As shown in Fig. 2, coils in cavities 6 produce curved magnetic lines of induction in the material 5. The mould may have bores for the discharge of liquid during pressing.
