Abstract
1,003,689. Moulding permanent magnets. DEUTSCHE EDELSTAHLWERKE A.G. Nov. 22, 1961 [Nov. 23, 1960], No. 41820/61. Heading B5A. [Also in Division H1] In making a pressing from ferromagnetic material, e.g. barium ferrite, in order to form a permanent magnet, the fine non-flowable magnetic powder is fed to a container where it it is subjected to a magnetic field which causes the powder particles to cling together and form larger particles which can then flow under gravity into the cavity of a pressing die or into a feeder from which it flows into the die cavity.
