[Class 81(ii)] A sanitary napkin comprises an elongated absorbent pad enclosed in a wrapper having extensions beyond the ends of the pad for use as attachment tabs, the wrapper being of soft fibrous material and having disposed over one surface spaced threads 11 and stripes 17 of cementitious material, such as latex, which serve to supply an adequate tensile strength to the wrapper.
