Abstract
632,112. Screw fans and pumps. STEWART, Sir F. C. Dec. 15, 1947, No. 32952. [Class 110(i)] The impeller blades, which are of aerofoil form, are of such sectional profile that the camber angle O over at least a part of the length of the blades exceeds 45 degrees. The angle reaches a maximum at or near the root section; 'it may increase continuously along the whole length of the blade or may remain constant over a part of the length and increase along the remainder towards the root. The angle may vary from not more than 30 degrees at the tip to 60 degrees or more at the root. The ratio of maximum camber of the mean line of the blade section to the blade width may vary from not more than 0.1 at the tip to 0.2 or more at the root. Specification 7015/06, [Class 110], is referred to.
