629,844. Cycle luggage-carriers. CAMILLIS, L. Nov. 22, 1947, No. 30988. [Class 136 (i)] A cycle carrier for bottles, jars and the like comprises a skeleton basket formed of two U-shaped vertical members a, b crossing each other at right angles and pivoted together axially at a<SP>3</SP> by their horizontal bases a<SP>2</SP>, b<SP>2</SP> to fold to each other and connected at the upper ends of their branches a<SP>4</SP>, a<SP>5</SP>, b<SP>4</SP>, b<SP>5</SP> to a band c disposed at right angles, the branches of the member a being pivotally fixed to the band, combined with devices such as rigid arms and open clips for connecting the band c and the lower portions of the pivotally fixed member a detachably to a handle-bar and handle-bar stem of a cycle. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, two similar baskets x are permanently connected side by side by pivot rivets 1, 2 to the bands c and by a lower riveting f between the adjacent branches. A swinging arm g is also riveted at f and is provided with a pivoted clip h for attachment to the cycle handle-bar stem. The branches b4 are detachably connected to the band c by a down-turned hook b<SP>6</SP>. Each of the branches b<SP>5</SP> is curved inwardly at i to provide a resilient grip on the bottle or like article placed in the basket. In a one-basket form of carrier shown in Fig. 9, a foldable bracket k carrying two clips e2, e<SP>2</SP> is pivoted to the band c at I and m and is further detachably secured to the band c by the screw device d. A compound pivoted arm g<SP>2</SP> extends from connections f to the clip h.
