[Classes 108 (i) and 108 (ii)] Suspensions.-The body 10, Fig. 1, of a perambulator or similar vehicle is suspended from wheels 18, 19 carried at or near the ends of front and rear pairs of radius arms 11a, 12a, each of which have elastic torsion means 13, 15, Figs. 3 and 4, associated therewith and with the body, and turn-about axes transverse of the body and spaced apart longitudinally of the body, the front radius arms 11a being inclined forwardly or rearwardly from their associated torsion means while the rear radius arms are inclined in the opposite sense so that the two pairs of arms are set at an angle one to another. Each pair of arms is preferably formed integral with a transverse bar 11, 12 which passes through the body and is bonded at each end to a rubber bush 13, 15 in turn vulcanized to an annular part 17a of a bracket 17 riveted to the body; alternatively, the transverse bars may be split centrally, the two parts being connected together and to the body by a rubber unit. The bushes may be preloaded. Bodies.-The body comprises a pair of loopshaped side-frames 20, Fig. 1, joined by tubular transverse members 22 ... 24. The frame members may be formed of light alloy or plastic and have any of the cross-sections shown in Figs. 3, 6 and 7. Side and bottom panels 36, 37 of wood, plastic, &c. are secured to the frames by self-tapping screws 50. A compartment 30, Fig. 9, at the rear of the body is normally closed by a lid 29 pivoted to the transverse member 23. The compartment is separated from the remainder of the body by a panel 31 hinged to the transverse member 23 and to a member 33 slidable on the usual false bottom 34, the arrangement being such that the size of the compartment may be reduced by rotating the panel rearwardly to the position shown in broken lines. Draught appliances.-The handle 35, Fig. 1, is of U-shape and is pivotally attached to the ends of the transverse member 23 by serrated washers and wing nuts to enable its height to be adjusted.
