Abstract

An anion exchanger used in the purification of sugar juices is reactivated by treating with a dilute solution of a strong acid, e.g., hydrochloric or sulphuric acid before the normal regeneration treatment with an alkaline solution. The acid solution is of 0.1-10 per cent. strength. Specications 561,896 and 595,180, [both in Group IV], and U.S.A. Specification 2,251,234 are referred to.
