626,715. Kinematograph apparatus. FRANCE, H. G. DE. Aug. 21, 1946, Nos. 24930 and 24931. Convention dates, Oct. 11, 1941, and Aug. 12, 1942. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group XL (b)] In television apparatus in which two films fed through separate projectors are successively transmitted by the use of a single iconoscope (see Group XL (b)), a slot 14 in the film being transmitted passes through a switching device 13 having conducting rollers 25, 26 allowing a circuit to be completed for magnets 18, 19a which respectively open the circuit of the motor 6 driving the film 2 and close the circuit of the motor 6a for the projector of the film 2a. The rollers 25, 26 which are carried by arms pivoted at 27, 28 are normally held away from the film but are brought into contact with the film by electro-magnets 22, 23, which are energized by a switch 24 operated before the slot 14 passes into the device 13. In a modified arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), the initial portion of the second film is projected on a viewing screen during the final stage of transmission of the first to facilitate optical adjustment of the second projector.
