626,230. Force-feed lubricating cans. BISGAARD, K. O. H. Dec. 4, 1946, No. 35845. Convention date, Feb. 27. [Class 102(i)] In a force-feed lubricating can having a pump cylinder 28 adapted to slide on a hollow piston 26 when a spring-pressed lever 20 is depressed, the lever is connected to the cylinder by a member 32 which surrounds the cylinder and is fixed thereon by projections 42, Fig. 2, formed by depressions on the inner side of the cylinder. As shown, the projections 42 are continuous, but they may be interrupted and co-operate with recesses in the connecting member to make a bayonet-joint connection. In another form, the inner face of the connecting member is hollowed out to engage a single projection or line of projections.
