[Class 108 (i)] A fore-and-aft partition in the driver's compartment of a hackney carriage comprises a lower panel 12, a transparent pane 13 vertically slidable in guides 18, 19, and a fixed pane 14, the forward edge of which is shaped to the peak rail 15, windscreen 16 and facia board 17. A balance arm 23 carries a roller 24 which engages a groove 25 in the pane 13 and supports it.
