[Class 108 (i)] A fore-and-aft partition in the driver's compartment of a hackney carriage comprises a lower panel 12, a transparent pane 14, horizontally slidable in guides 13 and 16 and having its forward edge shaped to the peak rail 20, wind-screen 23, and facia board 21 and a panel 29, preferably transparent, slidable in guides parallel to 13 and 16. A resilient stop 25 is provided and finger-pull bracket 33.
