Abstract
625,189. Hygrometers. JONES, E. March 7, 1947, No. 6498. Drawings to Specification. [Class 97 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] A humidity responsive unit comprises a piece of moisture absorbent material such as regenerated cellulose sheet which changes its volume with moisture content and has secured to it an electrical pick-off means responsive to change in dimensions, such as a resistance wire which changes its resistance with strain (see Group XXXVIII). The unit may be lightly stressed by a weight or spring in the direction of greatest dimensional change.
